Time is winding down to order the 2017-18 yearbook. Parents, you can order online at jostens.com or have your student pick up an order form from Mrs. Bates in the media center. Cost is $40. Last day to order is March 9th, 2018.

9th & 10th GRADE STUDENTS COMPLETE NATIONAL HISTORY DAY PROJECTS


The history classes would like to invite all community members and parents to our local showcase of these projects on 2/8/2018 from 2:00p.m-8:00p.m. in the Parkers Prairie High School Media Center. The best projects in each category will be recognized with ribbons and asked to participate in a regional competition on March 1, at MSU-Moorhead with a chance to go to the state competition at Williams Arena at the U of M. NEW ONLINE PAYMENT OPTION FOR PARKERS PRAIRIE SCHOOL LUNCHES


Parkers Prairie Schools has implemented PaySchools Central, an online payment platform, to help make managing lunch and fee payments easier for our students’ parents. The portal is easy to set up and use, both online and via the mobile app. To get started, follow the instructions found here.

PPHS SCIENCE STUDENTS SUPPORTING LOON HABITAT


Three Parkers Prairie High School investigative biology students are working with the Lake Miltona Association to make loon nesting platforms to be put on the lake this spring. Reeds and an "eagle deterrent" roof will be added at the lake.

FFA COMPETES AT U of M CROOKSTON


On December 1st the Parkers Prairie FFA traveled to the U of M, Crookston to compete in Agriculture and Natural Resources Activities Day.  The dairy judging team (Will Dodds, Brandon Schroeder, Jonathan Schwartz, Bobby Hoppe, and Bowen Makela) recieved 3rd place at the event.  Jonathan Schwartz earned 3rd place overall and also received a $450 scholarship to the U of M, Crookston.

TOYLI IS GEOGRAPHY BEE CHAMPION!


Seventh Grader Aili Toyli won the Parkers Prairie Geography Bee competition. Aili is the daughter of Matt and Glori Toyli. The school bee was held on the high school stage and a now Aili has a chance at a $50,000 college scholarship. The school bee, at which Aili and her competitiors answered questions on geography, was the first round in the 30th annual National Geographic Bee. Thousands of schools around the United States and in the five U.S. territories are participating in the Bee. The school champions, including Aili, will take a state qualifying test; up to 100 of the top scorers on that test in each state will then be eligible to compete in their state Bee in 2018. The National Geographic Society will provide an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C., for state winners to participate in the Bee national championship rounds May 2018. The first place national champion will receive a $50,000 college scholarship, and a lifetime membership in the Society including a subscription to National Geographic magazine. The national finals will air on television on the National Geographic Channel and PBS stations. Good luck, Aili.
